| As you probably are already aware, our facilities are at maximum capacity, and to fulfill our responsibility before God we must provide additional worship, education, nursery, office and parking space. Therefore, we have launched our Capital Stewardship Campaign. The Campaign began Sunday, September 19, 2004 and will continue through the month of October. During this time, you will be asked to pray and seek God's will regarding your commitment to fund our new ministry initiatives. What you will give and how much you give is between you and the Lord. The challenge is to do God's will regarding your investment in the future ministry of His Church. We have adopted 2 Samuel 24:24 as our Campaign theme. God commanded King David to build an altar on a specific piece of property and to offer a sacrifice. The designated property was the threshing floor of a man named Araunah. When the King informed Araunah of his intent to buy the property, build an altar, and worship God with a sacrifice, Araunah objected. “Let my lord the King take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here is oxen, burnt sacrifice, and … wood.” “All these things did Araunah give unto the King.” But David refused the generous gifts of land, wood for the altar, and oxen for the sacrifice. “Nay, but I will buy it of thee at a price: neither will offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing.” This was David’s commitment to true giving. The spirit of David’s gift was “I will not offer an easy, convenient gift. My offering will cost me something.” This was David’s commitment to “Lifestyle Stewardship,” giving that touches personal living. “Money has no value whatsoever, unless it is the expression of life, labor and love,” writes Stephen Olford. We are embarking on an adventure into grace and giving. It is a spiritual journey of prayer and faith. It is a voluntary journey. No one can take it for you. As individuals and as a church family let us begin this journey of faith together. May the spirit of King David be our own: “We will not sacrifice to God that which costs me nothing.” There are several important dates you will want to remember through the course of this campaign. Please make note of these dates and mark them on your calendar. October 17: The Main Event October 24: Response Sunday October 31: First-Fruits Sunday You don't want to miss "The Main Event!" This will be a fantastic worship service held at our property on Sunday, October 17 from 11:00am. to 1:00pm. Make plans now to attend! On Response Sunday you will be given the opportunity to formally record your commitment to the Capital Campaign. You will receive a commitment card in the mail the week prior to this day. Please begin to diligently pray now about what God would have you give. First-Fruits Sunday will be our first step toward fulfilling our commitment. Please make plans now to participate. | |

![]() | Our church is beginning a great project to build a brand new building for us to worship and have Sunday School. It will have more classrooms, an AWANA Game Room, and all kinds of neat things for kids to do. You may be excited about the new church, but you might think you can't do anything to help build the new church building. WRONG! Our new building needs everyone and that includes you. |
![]() | Pray - You can pray for our new church building. Draw - Make a poster to remind your Sunday School class about giving. Read - Read your Bible every day so you will know what God wants you to do to help. Give - Give part of your allowance to the new church building. Work - Ask your mom and dad for extra chores to do so you can earn more money for the new church building. Call - Call friends and remind them to pray for the new church. Share - Share about Jesus with an unsaved friend. Invite - Invite someone to come to church with you. Clean - Volunteer to clean up the class room or the Sanctuary to help keep our church clean for our guests. Arrive - Arrive at Sunday School early so the teacher has plenty of time to share the message with everyone. Sacrifice - Next time your parents offer a new toy, tell them you would rather them give the money to the new church building. You'll get more from the new church building than the new toy. Example - Set a good example for your younger brothers or sisters by giving to the Lord. |
